Free Length

The most popular Dijon limestone format, the ‘Free Length’ tile format has a fixed width (of either 400mm, 500mm or 600mm) and varying lengths ranging anywhere from 500mm up to a maximum of 1000mm.

Free Length formats are laid as a random brick bond to lend a natural look to your space – staggering the grout joints. You can expect a minimum of three different lengths in an order. For outdoors, the Free Length format Dijon limestone cobbles are 150mm wide, with lengths varying from 180mm up to 350mm.

Fixed Size

For a more uniform feel, the Dijon limestone is also available in a 600x400mm, 600x600mm or 900x600mm fixed size. These can be laid in either a 50/50 or ‘brick’ bond, or as an offset third bond. This format lends itself to more contemporary spaces and properties, being particularly popular in our brushed and honed finishes. As well as the 600×400 or 600×600 working well in smaller areas such as a utility or bathroom.

Opus Pattern

The Dijon tumbled limestone is also available in three ‘Opus Pattern’ sizing options – Small, Large and Grand.

An Opus Pattern is made up of four tile sizes, laid in a pattern to create a beautiful and rustic design. We would recommend choosing which of the three Opus Patterns depending on the size of the space you are tiling. Tile sizes in mm can be found below, each equating to a full ‘pattern’.

Small – 600 x 400, 400 x 400, 400 x 200, 200 x 200 (1 pattern = 1.44m2)

Large – 750 x 500, 500 x 500, 500 x 250, 250 x 250 (1 pattern = 2.25m2)

Grand – 900 x 600, 600 x 600, 600 x 300, 300 x 300 (1 pattern = 3.24m2)

Manoir

The Manoir format is a square tile with either one or four corners cut. In the case of the Dijon limestone all four corners are cut, with a smaller contrasting grey tile (known as a cabochon) inset into the cuts. The Dijon Manoir tumbled limestone tiles are popularly chosen for hallways and kitchens, providing the elegance of a Georgian style floor combined with a practical country twist.

Outdoor Formats

Dijon limestone is also available in a range of outdoor sizes. These mostly consist of the Free Length format, in either 20mm or 30mm thicknesses to suit your garden space. These outdoor sizes match up perfectly with their internal counterparts for a flowing indoor and outdoor flooring option, working particularly well with kitchen orangeries or spaces with bifold doors.
